Mic works for Facetime, but no video call apps

My mic stopped working on apps such as Discord, Zoom, etc. and so I have had to use headphones. I answered a Facetime call and they could hear me perfectly fine with my internal mic, not headphones. I tried all the troubleshooting Apple gave me but nothing helped. The audio levels don’t even show in System Preferences. Any ideas? Could one of the two mics be broken?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Go into your Sound Preferences, click on the Input make sure the Internal Microphone is highlighted. I would also go to the Output setting making sure the internal speakers are selected as well.

Within the given app you also have some controls as well.

Update (09/30/2020)

I think you'll need to visit an Apple Store or authorized service center to see if they can check your system. It maybe you managed to mess up the headphone jack MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Function Keys, Late 2016-2017) Headphone Jack

Within the jack is a set of switches which can get messed up.
