Why is my phone does not have a display?

After my phone fell, my Oneplus 6 display was gone but the LED notification is still lit so I tried rebooting it but still no display. And every time i turn it on, I’m only feeling a small vibration every time, I have no lead on what to next, I’m still trying to figure it out my self

Hi @seeeaaa ,

The fall may have dislodged the screen flex cable connection to the systemboard or more likely the screen is damaged internally and has to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.

As a DIY repair all you can do is to open the phone and first check that the screen cable connection is secure and if it is, then to temporarily replace the screen assembly and check if it now works OK.

Here’s a video that shows how to replace the screen assembly in the phone, that may help you to do this.

If doing this yourself is too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to repair the phone.

On it now, waiting for my heat gun to arrive to check the flex cable. Hoping that it is just not connected and not broken. Shall update you soon, thank you so much
