You should give us more details about the history of the device, the steps you took during the repair and the troubleshooting you did afterwards. The more info we have, the better the answer we can provide.

There are a few possibilities here:

  • It could simply be a bad screen. Have you tried re-installing the original cracked screen?
  • Did you isolate the battery before disconnecting (and reconnecting) the screen assembly?
  • You may have accidentally damaged something during the repair. Re-check your work, closely inspect the connectors and surrounding area for any damage.

I followed the instructions from IFIXIT website for ipad pro 10.5 screen replacement. I did isolate the battery before disconnecting and reconnecting the screen assembly. I did re-check my work, and inspected the connectors and surrounding area for any damage. I tried to restore the software and I was initially unsuccessful. I reinstalled my cracked screen and the ipad no longer rebooted every 2-3 minutes. I went ahead and did a software restore at this point. I reinstalled the new screen and the reboots after 2-3 minutes resumed. I’m leaning towards your suggestion of a defective screen.

If the original screen allows the iPad to work properly, then it s definitely a bad replacement screen.
