Rear camera was replaced and now I get a black screen.

Hello,

I recently replaced the rear camera on my iphone X with no success. When I open up the camera app all I get is a black screen. When I reinstall the old camera I had the camera boots ups and works with the camera app (although blurry due to damage). Any ideas what might be going on. Also the flashlight doesnt work with either camera. I have attempted soft reset and changing some setting in the camera setting with no success.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Probably just a bad camera unit then, send the faulty camera back to the supplier and get a new one. The flash doesn’t work if if the camera is broken so when you get a good camera installed the flash will also work again, unless it’s actually broken of course but that’s not very likely.

Thanks for the response. I forgot to mention I’ve tried two different cameras from the supplier they both don’t work!

You say that the original camera still shows some image but are very blurry due to damage. If the original camera shows something at all and the two cameras from this supplier doesn't display anything i still think you're receiving bad parts. try another supplier and make sure it's original cameras you're getting.
