Can't remove keyboard ribbon cable

I am trying to replace the battery on my early 2013 macbook pro and have gotten to step 25. The keyboard cable isn’t budging and I am confused as to where to push on it. Should I push on the clip, towards the battery? I am trying to push on the corners by the clip but it isn’t going anywhere
