Why does my Asus laptop keep freezing when in sleep/hibernation mode?

I have the ASUS Q536FD-BI7T15 model, which is fairly new yet I am having multiple issues with it. One of the issues I am having is as follows: If I leave the laptop open for a period of time without using it, it will enter sleep/hibernation mode as intended. The issue then, is that if left too long in sleep/hibernation mode like this, the fan will start winding like crazy and the computer freezes on a black screen. The only thing I can do is restart the computer by pressing and holding the power button. Does anyone know why this occurs and if there is a fix?

Answer this question I have this problem too

You haven't mentioned if you have updated the BIOS to Version 306 ?

It could be a hard drive failure

Definitely not HDD problem. Same thing happened with my new SSD and another HDD I used for testing.

Yesterday I put the laptop to sleep, by the time I got back to it 35 min later the fan was at 100%, laptop was HOT, black screen, power light on and could not do anything till I forced shut down. That drained more than 50% battery in 35 min. seems that when this happens CPU goes to 100%

I have the same problem. Sometimes when it’s in sleep mode, I pack it in the bag from office to home, by the time i get home the bag is super hot, fan is on max, nothing happens till I hold power button and force shut down.
