Whyis TV powering off then coming back on right away

OUR tv WILL SHUT DOWN AND COME BACK ON WHILE WE ARE WATCHING tv. We have checked all electrical connections and they are good

gclark3082 does it power down completely and start back up. Does it go to some sort of main screen? Give us more details on that as well as a complete model number
