How bad was the accident? Does your SRS light stay on?

If the accident was "bad" enough, the crash would have triggered the seat belt's mini-pyros and locked the seat belt into place. Unfortunately it's a full on replacement, no retracting it. Also, from what I've read, you may need to replace your entire seat belt...meaning the belt side and the clip side. Both have said mini-pyros.

Good luck!

+ I'd replace the seat belt. If there was any impact hard enough to lock the mechanism, replace it....

Definitely not. Those things have a reason for being properly installed. You do want to replace those with the right thing. They do safe lives and are not something that you want to take lightly.
