Why is my ice maker leaking

My Kenmore refrigerator model 596.72003014 is making ice just fine. However, recently I noticed it was leaking water into one corner of the ice collection bin, which is then freezing into one big hunk of ice.

If the ice cubes are stuck together in a row when they first fall, then the ice maker is over filling. If only a few cubes are together, your ice maker might not be level. Or, your ice maker seals are bad causing the water to leak out.

You would need to watch the the ice maker as it’s filling to determine what is causing the water to get in ice bin.
