What can I do to make the faulty left command key be responsive

My left command key is not as smooth or tactile and responsive like the right command key. This makes regular things very hard and I make mistakes in typing lot of times. Is it advisable to pry open the key myself and reinsert? Will this do the job or is the key done?

It needs hard press to work like other keys. Please help!

UPDATE 30-08-2020

I have managed to solve the problem by prying open the key using a plastic spudger, flip the metal pin holders top to bottom, clean up the plastic, clean up the key from inside at the edges and pits, put it back with some good sounding clicks. I reboot and the key now works like charm, no hard pressing needed.

Chosen Solution

I should’ve searched better, all I had to do was remove the key, switch the metal holders from top to bottom (although the same position should work for others), remove some dust off the plastic things, push them back with clicks. It works like a charm, no hard pressing required.
