3 windows don’t work

I have a 2008 Altima. Only the driver side window works. I used my key faub to get lower both front windows but only one will go back up. How can I raise the other window and what could be causing three of my windows to suddenly stop working?

Hi @moshe1210 ,

Have you checked that the driver side Window lock button is not operated? If this button is operated it prevents all the other windows from working.

As can be seen from this image from the service manual, the BCM (Body Control Module) controls the operation of the power windows but both the rear windows and the front passenger window are also dependent on the driver’s window and door lock switch.

Here’s the 2008 Nissan Altima Model L32 Service Repair Manual Scroll down and click on the Power Window Control System link.

When the file opens scroll down to p.PWC-189 to view the instructions on how to test (and replace if necessary) the Main Power Window and Door Lock/Unlock switch.

Hopefully a start

Thank you Moshe for asking this! And thank you jayeff for answering it!!! I have a Nissan XTerra 2012 and could not figure why I couldn’t get any of the other windows to work, thought fuse or switch. Didn’t realize I’d elbowed the button down on the child escape lock! LOL.
