Microsft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter replication

Hi! I have Dell G3 3590. Recently I came across the following problem. Wifi connection gets lost, and I couldn’t recover it. Even no Wifi was recognized by the sytem, neither mine nor in vicinity (ie neighbourhood, which it can see/recognize)

I found out that in My Computer-Manage- Microsft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter was with exclamation mark. I uninstalled it than I restarted the system. The problem was fixed but Microsft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter was replicated with Microsft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter#2. After few days I had the same problem but exclamation mark was in Microsft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter#3. I uninstalled it and again the problem was fixed with another replication Microsft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter#5. Now I have 3 of them . It is to be expected that the problem will reoccur and I don’t know how to approach this problem otherwise.

I submitted photos that more or less describe what is goinh on during this.

Thank you in advance for suggestions.

Hi @agdian ,

Try resetting your network adapters.

With the WiFi connection getting lost problem, try using the laptop as close as possible to your WiFi router and check if there is a network signal available, that you can connect to it and that it stays connected.

If so it may be that there is an antenna connection problem on the WLAN card in the laptop.

Here’s the service manual for the laptop. Go to p.36 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the WLAN card. This will allow you to check the antenna connections.
