Problem with screen image through the lens

Hello, yesterday I was making the shooting, and while I was taking a picture with using the zoom, the picture on the screen through lense suddenly became very ruffle while shooting, with many bright strips, colors became distorted, an image turned into like on a very old TV with ripples. The pictures done look the same in the gallery plus when I turn on the camera I see the same effect on the screen through the lense. I was very gentle with my camera, I don’t know why It happened. Previousy the image was very clear like I look through the clear glasses. Please, If you know what to do, help me with this. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

What happens if you take some pictures and download them to a computer and look at them there. Are they clear or also distorted?

Hi,

It seems as though the camera’s LCD display either has a loose cable connection or it is faulty.

Here’s the ifixit Canon PowerShot SX530 HS Display Replacement guide.

This shows how to open the camera and check that the LCD flex cable connection to the motherboard is securely connected, (see image at Step.10). If it secure then as a DIY repair all you can do is to replace the LCD display and check if it now works OK, because if it is faulty it cannot be repaired, it has to be replaced.

Search online for Canon PowerShot SX530 HS Camera LCD Display Screen to find suppliers that suit you.
