REplacement screen wont show anything

I am trying to replace the screen on my oneplus 5T, but when i test the screen by oplugging it in and conecting the batery and lcd flex cable the phone can boot (I know because it is vibrating), but there is nothiing on the display, can i have gotten a defecive screen? None of the flexcables were torn

Is the old screen still working so that you can try it and see that all is still OK with the systemboard etc?

@jayeff The old screen was barely working when i removed it, and i think i cracked the control circuit on the screen when i removes it so it is not working either. Is there another way to chedck if it is in favct the scren`? i have checked all the cabels i could have tuched, and they all see undamaged.

Not that I know sorry.

Was hoping that the old screen would provide a quick test just to prove that the board was OK.
