Kenmore Elite 79572053110 not power on after power outage

Hi all, we had a power outage due to a vehicle accident 2 days ago, when the power comes back up, my fridge and washer did not power up. I already checked the breaker and the CFGI outlet. I even moved it to a different (working) outlet to check, just no power at all. I looked at the user manual for the fridge and nothing in there about power outage beside keep your door close to keep things cold.

Any advice on this is much appreciate it.

thanks

What is the model number of the refrigerator?

Try disconnecting the power to the refrigerator for about 5 minutes i.e. unplug it, then reconnecting it and check what happens.

Did you get the washer to work?

Hi,

Check where the power first comes into the refrigerator.

Looking at the parts diagram, I’m thinking that it might first connect to the power control board -part #4091 door parts.

You would need to see if you can open it or test it (without the power connected) to make sure that power was able to come through the board and feed the refrigerator circuits e.g. main control board, compressor, fans. lights etc.

Have you checked your home contents insurance policy at all? Sometimes electrical appliances damaged by power outages may be covered, although the excess payment that is needed to be paid and the loss of premium discounts sometimes makes this option less attractive. Just a thought.

What is the model number of the washer?

You would have to do the same with it. Check the control board for any obvious damage i.e. burnt out surge suppressor or other components etc.
