Why is my ice maker not working?

So I have been to this ladies house THREE times for the same ice maker I replaced it….. ice maker fills with water but never freezes. The freezer is set to 4F and this ice maker is in the fridge by the way the model # is RFG298HDRS. This ice maker is irritating the heck out of me I did the test button it does it’s thing then never makes ice as far as I know…. anyone know what to do next? Fills with water perfect and everything operates fine except freezing the ice!! Need some help asap

If your ice maker isn't producing ice at all, it's typically indicative of a clog somewhere along the supply line.

A common cause for a clog is frozen water in the line, as the maker wasn’t woking for a while, it’s more likely a possibility that the water filter for the ice maker is clogged.

Try to replace the water filter, which typically located inside the refrigerator.
