Removing WiFi ic chip on motherboard

Hi guys quick question

ive been looking on YouTube about the WiFi chip on the 6s plus. Some show the chip needs to be programmed and some doesn’t show it. My issue is the WiFi isn’t working. The repair guy also mentioned about programming. Just wanted to know if that had to be done. Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The Wi-Fi chip needs to be unbinded. I usually do this by removing the NAND which is where the information is stored and reprogramming it to unbind the Wi-Fi serial number. There are other programmers out there that claim to accomplish this without removing the NAND but I cannot comment on those as I have never used one.

Yes because one of my repairers are telling me they can do it without programming and the other said they need to reprogram the chip. I don’t know which one I should for? Anyone else have any input to this.

You don’t need to program the chip. You just need to un-bind the old ones serial number from the NAND and it will automatically write the new serial number when booted.
