Call disconnect does not engage

When I make call in case I want to disconnect it if I press the red button it does not respond.How to set it right? Kindly guide me please.N.Lakshmanan chettiar India

I would take it to the Apple store. It's under warranty. Make sure you update it because they will probably switch phones with you.
