Dropped phone, no mic, headphones, charging, itunes, loud speaker etc

My wife dropped her iphone and the following happened:

  1. Black screen followed by a blue screen then black again.
  2. Phone was responsive, can fill vibrate etc.
  3. I powered it off hoping to restart it and I couldn’t determine it if came back on (itunes didn’t recognize)
  4. Bought icloud locked phone off ebay that appeared to be good and working
  5. Replaced battery and lcd using the icloud locked phone and now I can access my phone
  6. The following doesn’t work: headphones, mic, charging, connection to itunes, front camera, ear piece.
  7. The following still works : wifi, lcd, touch, bluetooth, volume buttons, silence, touch id, power button, home button

I was hoping I could fix this phone but it seems like some greater damage was done from the drop, perhaps logic board damage? I do have all spare parts from this other phone that I could try, but it might be a waste of time given so many things aren’t working all at one time where they were all working 100% before.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The charging port is either unplugged or has a ba connection or is defective. All of those things not working run through that cable.

It's a possibility. You never know. But I am glad it works.

Wouldn't think it affected the front camera and earphone. Unless I have a faulty or loose connection there in addition to the charging port. I'll try reseating that first and / or testing with the extra one which shouldn't be too difficult.

Front camera and earpiece are probably a bad connection. I missed the comment about the camera and earpiece. I would get a magnifying glass and check the connections for any damage. Clean the connectors with a qtip and alcohol and a soft brush then try it again.

Thanks, I swapped the camera assembly with my spare phone and it works. I removed the lightning cable assembly and tried it again after removing just for the heck of it, and all the components on it worked. Any kind of short that could have happened while it's down inside the case?
