Xbox one x fan bursting in games after doing OSU update

So I did an offline system update on my Xbox One X hoping that it would get rid of the dev mode storage I had on it (it didn’t). Now after the update my fan bursts in games and it didn’t used to before. Could it have been the update that did this and is there a way to fix it?
