Locating and disabling bluetooth on a JBL Flip Essential

Hello, just wondering if it’s possible to disable/remove bluetooth on a JBL Flip Essential?

I will only ever use AUX however as soon as you turn the device on it tries to pair and there doesn’t appear to be a way to turn it off (the manual makes no reference and I couldn’t find anyhing online).

I have noted the replacement antennae guides for the Flip 1 & 2 and am wondering how similar the essential model is. Complete removal is my preference.

Problem solved. Bluetooth antennae located under passive driver with a sticker attaching it to the outer cylinder (labeled Flip 3 SE-V1). De-soldered sticker end, separated coaxial sheath from internal wire, attached 50-ohm resistor between the two (soldered) to create a circuit and hopefully absorb the signal. Wrapped resistor and wire in insulation tape, then wrapped all of it in aluminum foil (to allow it to earth/faraday) and then wrapped all of it in insulation tape and tucked it back in. The output signal is supposed to be 2.5 mW, it is now 10 to the -9 mW = minimal. Note device wouldn’t work until plugged in to charge, likely a battery sensor issue.

Funny how there is no built-in mechanism for switching it off. Great effort there, but I was looking for a non-permanent thing like pressing a button :D
