I am pretty sure that the SSD in these MacBook Air’s are soldered, so you would probably need to replace the entire logic board. It says somewhere in this article: There’s Something New in the (MacBook) Air “Soldered SSD and RAM are a real bummer in a laptop at this price point.”

Any confirmation about the replaceability of the ssd?
Out of curiosity, if it is soldered, how advanced would the technique be? Given the requisite soldering station, flux, etc. Perhaps it is high risk? :P
