How can I clone an HDD to an NVMe SSD?

I have a Dell Inspiron dekstop with a SATA HDD. I am upgrading to a different computer with an NVMe SSD, and I would like to clone all of the data from the HDD to the SSD. I have a SATA to USB adapter if that would be useful. The computer is running Windows 10. Thanks in advance.

Don’t bother cloning - you’ll lose your new PC’s activation and have to reinstall Windows again when you screw up to restore it to an activated state! Hook the drive up to your new computer with a USB SATA bridge, find the Users folder and pick your profile.

Copy everything from your old drive into the folders on the new computer.
