How do I fix a sticky L3 on the Pro Controller?

The L3 button has been sticky on my Pro Controller for a while now. I had experienced heavy drifting before it got sticky. I opened up the controller, and it looks like it is slightly lower than the button on the right analog stick. Would cleaning fix this button, or will I have to replace it?
