iPad 6 will show charge indicator but will not charge

I recently repaired an iPad 6 LTE iPad for a customer and noticed the iPad was stuck on 33% when I plugged it back it and stayed at 33% even though the charge symbol was present. It was an Apple charger and works on my other devices. None of my other cords worked either. I have seen other articles about charging chips being bad or blown, and I wondered if any of you had run into the same problem and have a solution. Repair was fine. Everything went well, and everything works except the charging. I do believe the battery was good before the repair, and the iPad hadn’t been opened up before or banged up a whole lot. Charge port on it was also clean and undamaged. My battery isolator pick stayed in the whole time as well. I didn’t feel any resistance when I put the battery screw back in, but the only other possible cause I could think of was some sort of debris or other thing stopping the battery from being fully connected. Just looking for some insight(and hoping it’s not the chip). Thanks!

If you already swapped out the charging cord and ports, the best thing may be to swap the battery for a known good one.

It sounds like the battery is losing its ability to hold a charge and may need to be replaced.

It is possible. I am going to open it back up to make sure I didn’t damage anything and will check the battery in the process.
