No power - tried a different cord still dead

Hi @gerty210264 ,

You may be able to repair it yourself if you’re handy with a DMM (digital multimeter), a soldering iron and some basic tools or know someone who is.

According to this link (see 7th post down) you need to check and most probably replace the fuse (slow blow 3.15A) next to the power input connector on the power board and the KBU606 rectifier - 600V 6A on the AC side of the power board, (it is the only one there).

The supplier in the part links above is only to show you what the components look like, their specifications and the cost. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better.

Replies to the thread said replacing both of these components fixed the problem.

Here’s a link to the ifixit Sonos Play 5 Power Board Replacement guide, that will help gain access to the power board so that the components can be checked/replaced.

Worth a try given the cost of the parts ;-)
