Bootcamp Bluetooth Connection Issues

Hello,

I recently installed Window 10 using bootcamp in my Macbook Pro 2016. However, I discover an issue, once I boot in to windows, I can’t connect any bluetooth device.

Am I missing any drivers? Or is this an inherent issue with bootcamp 6.1 ?

Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Rex,

I had the exact same issue and just managed to fix it. Are you still having issues?

“I went to Windows Update, choose Optional Updates and then clicked on the Broadcom one that was available.”

The wireless devices are now connected and stay connected!

Thanks, I will try and update the drivers.

Cause currently what I do is

1. I shut down my laptop

2. Then I wait 10 seconds

3. After waiting for 10 seconds, I switch my laptop on again and proceed to hold the [option] key and switch to windows

I am not sure why does this work for me, but I believe it might have something to do with resetting some hardware in the laptop.

Yeah I still have to do that too.

I couldn’t get my devices to stay connected until I installed the “optional update”.

Hi @jordanriley,

When you boot into windows using bootcamp, does your mac give you MCA errors?

Cause when I used the computer in closed-display mode with an external display, and I try to boot into windows it will crash. I manage to get into the boot option menu, but after that it will crash every single time.

Hi @rexchlee,

I'm not getting any MCA errors but I have to have my laptop screen open when booting/using Windows. My external screen works for a minute when I first login then it switches off but after about a minute it goes back to the external display.

Don't know if this helps at all?

I would contact Apple to see if there is any newer BootCamp drivers.
