Where is the keyboard connector located on the board?

Hello everyone. I have a Macbook pro a1708 with a non functioning keyboard. The machine can fire up using the power on button, but the rest of the keyboard or backlight doesn’t work. This happened after the computer went in for a water repair. That is why i am thinking that the techinician didn’t put the keyboard connector on properly. Does anyone have a picuture or illustration that shows where the keyboard connector(s) are/is located?? Thanks in advance

We don’t have a guide to take the logic board out or replace the keyboard but we do have enough images to see where things are.

First, after taking the bottom cover off following this guide: MacBook Pro 13" Function Keys Late 2016 Lower Case Replacement

Locate the Right fan (on the left side from the bottom). Lifting the speaker off that surrounds it you’ll see the keyboard cable below it

And here a close-up of the cable

Sadly, the keyboard is riveted in and difficult to replace. I would strongly recommend you just replace the full uppercase with a new keyboard then trying to salvage the uppercase. Here are used parts which will work

Did adjusting the cable solve your problem?

@chris51297 - Replacing the cable was the first solution if there is corrosion on it. Otherwise its likely a messed up keyboard which is a bear to change out. I would recommend replacing the uppercase as I outlined

so I was able to find and remove the cable. Prior to that the power button was working fine. Once I replace the cable now neither the power button nor keyboard work. What could I have done wrong?
