I have thin black horizontal lines evenly spaced down the screen.

So I have thin lines all the way along the screen. They are always there but they used to fade after the TV had been on for a few minutes.

Hi,

Ouch.

Horizontal lines usually indicate a faulty LCD panel.

Vertical line(s) could be either a faulty tcon board or Tab connections to the panel.

How do I go about fixing it? Would it be expensive?

@Dean Clarke ,

The only fix I know is to replace the LCD panel.

Look for the LCD panel part number on the back of the panel itself and then search online using the part number.

You may be lucky.

If you do happen to find one you will most probably find that a it can cost nearly as much as a new TV.

An option to consider then is to advertise your TV as "faulty screen - good for parts" to recoup some of the cost towards a new TV. TV boards are always in demand.

Good luck

The tape that holds the LED's in place may have dried up and loosened (that's what happened to my Samsung) New tape will fix he problem.
