More information is needed for you to get a reasonable answer.
Model number of TV?
Is the audio output the TV speakers or an external audio system?
What is the signal source e.g. TV antenna or a "box" of some description?
If a "box" then have you tried a different TV input or input type e.g. HDMI or Component video etc?
If an antenna have you tried connecting a dvd player to the TV and see what happens to the audio when using it?
What have you tried?
