Procedure to change the default application

Microsoft Excel happens to be my default application, I need the procedure to change it from numbers. Please guide me.

Click on a spreadsheet document, goto the menu File then slide down to Get Info your files info pane should be open twist the twisty Open with: There you can alter the application to use in this case MS Excel to alter all spreadsheets click on the Change All button

Click on the small triangle that's called a twisty as when you click on it more information is shown user that heading.
