Possible Solution To Blank Light Strip on screen

As you can see in the photo below, my apple watch series 4 (40mm gps) has a vertical white line permanently on the display whenever its on. I was wondering if there are any possible cheap solutions I could try before resorting to a full on screen replacement. It almost appears as those a connector cable for the display may be damaged. Also as a side note, apple warranty is not an option, I bought this watch intentionally on ebay.

I appreciate the help, although like I said I purchased this watch intentionally knowing this issue existed in it. I'm just looking to see what possible things I can do that may possibly solve the problem.

No plan B here - You need a new display. If the cables are damaged thats the end of the watch as the cables are part of the SIP module as that point it would be cheaper to get another watch.

@danj alright, that's what I was kinda expecting. Thank you for the help!

Hello @danj ,

If cables are not damaged, what would be a good diagnostic of failure?

Any repair tip?

@Roberto Aguirre Aguayo - Then I have to assume the watch got wet so you have a corrosion issue or a short or defective SMT device besides the SIP its self.

What if one of the external flat connectors in the picture is cut? (The two connected to the patch over the 3 cables going to the lcd). Would it create white lines?
