Frigidaire Water dispenser working but ice maker not

Hello, we have a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser. (ice dispenser is in the fridge) Model number FPHB2899PF. The ice dispenser broke last year and we replaced it, it was working just fine until a few days ago. We also noticed a large rust spot on the back of the fridge but no leak in any of the water hoses. We also never noticed any kind of burning odour cause it does sort of look like a burn to a point. If anyone can help that would be awesome. TIA!
