Wet phone's screen is acting erratically now.

With all the COVID craziness, we haven’t been out much. Recently took our first trip to the grocery store in weeks, and I washed my (what I thought was water-resistant enough) iPhone X in the sink with a dash of handsoap. Then I rinsed it off, dried it, and continued to use it. Then I turned on the screen and it was acting really erratically, as if I was randomly tapping and such, and wouldn’t even let me power it off. I tried a hard reset, still didn’t fix it. I then washed it off in the sink, thinking some soap residue was on it. After that, I realized I had some 70% alcohol pads, so I wiped the phone down with those. Turned it off for a while, turned it on later, and most of the erraticness/ghost touches were gone, but not compeltely. Now it is drying out by a small fan.

I know these steps probably found stupid to you all, but is there anything I can do to ensure it works?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Drying it out with a fan is a good idea. Try removing the back cover as well as the battery so that it can blow dry on the inside, as well.

Thanks. I'm worried about rice dust residue, so I am not doing that. I don't have any tools, so not sure if I can remove the back cover. Going to leave it off for a day.
