New battery, new charger, still not charging

Installed new battery, bought a new charger and yet still no indication the it's working. No charging lights or won't turn on.

Could be a bad charge port, gpu or maybe a mosfet. Theres a few different things that could cause that issue.

Hi,

Open the laptop and then disconnect the DC-In jack connector from the motherboard.

Check the jack for continuity using an Ohmmeter to test the jack’s centre pin to the red wires and the jack’s sleeve connector to the black wires.

Sometimes the DC-In jack’s centre pin connection breaks internally.

If there is an open circuit the jack will have to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.

Here are the ifixit Hisense Chromebook C11 guides which may be of some help in gaining access to the jack.

Also it is prudent to disconnect the battery from the motherboard before doing any work inside a laptop, so as to forestall any electrical problems from happening if you accidentally slip when using metal tools inside a laptop. Even though the laptop is off there is still power available at various points on the motherboard. The power switch is not a power isolating switch and when off the laptop is effectively only in an extremely low power standby state
