Computer Monitor doesn't display/take 30+ mins to output a signal
Just to rule it out, I’ve had the display panel changed (£450 under warranty, go figure).
Monitor: Acer XB271HU
Basically when recieving the monitor back from repair today the screen took about half an hour before displaying a signal. Sound works, the monitor is recognised by the OS and the blue light indicating a signal input is on, but only the backlight is working.
What could be the cause of this?
I sent this back to acer, which led to the display panel being damaged in transit so they charged me for the repair because of ‘accidental damage not being covered under the warranty’. I’ve read online that it could be due to faulty caps in the power supply circuit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this problem started 6 months ago on a <2 year old monitor costing me £600 new.
Thanks!
Is this a good question?
Hi @hotbutterytoast
Test with another video source / another PC.
How do you connect this? by displayport or hdmi?
well... i suppose if it is back from service.... it should have some coverage, give them a ring and explains....

It worked a little bit earlier through both HDMI and display port. It isnt an issue with the GPU outputs or the cables. It's fresh from being repaired and worked after taking half an hour to warm up. Slept my PC, and when i came back it didnt wake up again.
edit: i also use the same cables/outputs on other displays and it works fine

@hotbutterytoast
you connected both hdmi and displayport together to the same graphic card?
if so ... disconnect the hdmi cable and leave only displayport

@salmonjapan I can independently choose inputs on the screen, it doesn't matter that it's from the same source. The PC thinks it's two different screens. Also doesn't work with a single cable in.
