Apple's 6th revision to the iPod Touch lineup, released in July 2015.

What's the best way to reattach my screen; what do I need?

My iPod 6th Gen’s screen is coming off. I just leave it plugged in so I can control my lights and air fresheners, so the adhesive must be worn off (I’ve had this device since ~February ‘16).

I’m not tech illiterate (I build/fix PCs, program, etc.), but I’ve never worked on an iPod before, so any help is much appreciated. I just want to make sure I learn how to repair it correctly.

Thanks a bunch! :)

Hi @ironsheep

The internal battery is expanding causing the screen to lift off the iPod frame. This is not an easy replacement but if you have a basic tool kit and a quality soldering iron it is possible to complete successfully.

Here is a replacement battery and the guide to get you through (battery at Step 22)!
