check if you have any spyware (that mines for bitcoin)? Some of them are intelligent that they start mining only when connected to power.

is it only during gaming? I know a lot of people install cracked games - may even contain spyware.

1. May be slowly disassemble laptop

2. Clean inside

3. Look for battery if it is swollen

4. Just have a clean windows install

5. Do not install weird boosters, RAM enhancers etc.

6. use it for a few days. post here

@bmx2019 Hey i didn't replace my battery yet but i was able to fix the lag

by constantly forcing my laptop at max cpu speed at all times by using the "intelppm" service in the registry.

Will this have any effect on my laptop?

by

me editing the registry has actually affected my laptop and stays at about 2.60 GHz cpu speed if i turn it on with the charger plugged in but goes back to 0.88 GHz if i unplug it and plug it back in

Hi,

Check that the charger’s output voltage is 19.5V DC

If it is then the laptop heating up and the battery lasting for less than 1 hour appears to indicate that the battery is failing and needs to be replaced.

Try replacing the battery and then see if the problem is still there.

Here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop, taken from this webpage

Scroll to p.65 to view the steps to remove/replace the battery.

The battery part number is 756743-001.

Search online using the part number only in the search term of your browser, to find suppliers of the part
