What is the power consumption of g5 2005 .Live in Germany. Used a power meter and it showed ca. 80watts idling and 150 w running

@nalced it all depends on your configuration etc, but your numbers are about right

  • The 1.6 GHz model had a maximum power consumption of 420 watts.
  • The 1.8 GHz model had a maximum power consumption of 430 watts.
  • G5 Dual 2.0 (2003) 970 with 6800 GT GPU (no display)
    • Idle: 170w. 400w under load.
  • G5 Dual 2.3 (Late ‘05) 970MP with Quadro FX 4500 GPU (no display)
    • Idle: 150w. 250w under load.
