connector 7 smashed on board of 3gs

Hi,

I dropped the phone in the toilet then pulled it apart to let it air dry while putting it back together I smashed the #7 connector on the board, now I have no service and cant figure out how to fix it? Anybody have an idea? Was wondering if I could just solder the to connections together but I dont even know if solder is conductive. Help.

simple answer is yes you could do that, solder must be conductive otherwise all those little connections on the board would never work..

if your skills are good you could desolder the old one and buy a new female connector (or is it male? anyway the bit for the board) and fix it properly. Have a look on google/ebay whatever for connector 7 smd/female connector and you should find it..I have seen it advertised out there
