Service message after copying battery serial

Is there a solution yet for the service message on the iPhone XS Max? I replaced a battery with a new one after copying the serial number. 3Utools says the battery is “original” but it still shows the service message in the menu.

From what I have read the only solution is that I need an original Apple Battery with the TI chip, copy info with JC Pro, WL, iCopy, etc and then it will be fine.

Am I correct or that won’t work either?

dear sir i lost my apple xs mex battery and new battery cheng but error unable to verify this iphone genuine bttery please solw my problem i have pay

It will only work if you use same battery that came with the iphone originally. Otherwise, don´t waste your time.

After doing it you will need to reprogram the old original (with new cells) battery´s chip with iCopy.

That will not work. The only way is to transfer the original Ti chip from the original battery to the replacement battery plus the serial number. I know one person that is doing this as he refurbishes iPhones. He has also told me it doesn’t work all the time.

Thanks for confirming it. So starting from the iPhone XS replacing batteries will have this "service" problem. Have you heard of this causing battery percentage to drop? I am suspecting the customer is complaining because of the "service" message and not because he has problems. I already explained why this is happening, but some customers just won't listen

This service issue dates a lot older. I've gone through 2 iFixit batteries and they all slowed down my phone and cause it to show the "Service" problem.

@d3novo I have never had a performance issue with my aftermarket batteries but you are right about customers. Once they see the service warning message they convince themselves that the phone is not functioning like it was before the replacement.

I just had my iPhone XS battery replaced at iservice and was told that it is a genuine Apple battery but the the notification says Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery. Health information not available for this battery. I was informed it will take a few days for Apple to register the new battery automatically and that the notification will disappear

If anyone has complaining customers, download 3u tools on windows (not sure about Mac). You can get accurate information about the battery. I’ve had a few customers that have complained when the battery is good quality and fully functioning, I take a picture for proof and tell them to &&^& off

I just got my iPhone battery replaced at iservice. I was informed that it is a genuine Apple battery but I got the message on my phone, Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery, Health information not available for this battery. At iservice I was told that it will take a few days for Apple to recognize the new battery and that it will register automatically and that the message will disappear. Fingers crossed, I just got the battery replaced yesterday

No. If it did not start working from the beginning, it will not start to work by itself.

Totally false, only way around it it to transfer the board from original battery

by

that seems like a convenient lie

If you want to see your battery health connect your phone to your pc and download 3utools where you can see everything about your battery
