My computer won't turn on

My computer was working fine just a little bit ago but then I'd noticed my Google Crome had crashed and wasn't responding. So I just figured “oh well” and closed it down and then tried to reopen Google Crome. Well then for some reason Google Crome was refusing to open up, so I decided I should probably just restart my computer. To which I powered it off completely and then waited about a minute and then clicked the power button to turn it back on and my computer refused to turn back on. And it's not like it died or anything because my battery was at about 60 to 70% charged. But now my computer just seems to have been completely stripped of power.. It won't turn on, and it won't glow or anything of the sort (My power button on the side will glow when turned on and the keyboard can also glow) and so I decided to plug it in to see if that'd do anything and when I usually plug it in, near the power port there will be a little dot that will glow orange when it not 100% charged and of course Red when it's dead and white when it's fully charged. It doesn't seem to be taking in power because the dot isn't glowing. And I'm not sure what to do… I haven't spilt anything on it, I haven't dropped it, I haven't taken it anywhere where moisture could get in it, I haven't downloaded anything unsafe.. And I've only had this computer for about a Month or two now and I bought it directly from Best buy.. And this computer cost almost $1,000. I've left it alone to “Charge" For the time being and I'm going to wait about an hour before I touch it again to see if anything changes but so far it isn't looking good… and I didn't bother buying a Warentee on it either because Best buy wanted another Extra 2 to $300 for it. I'm also not sure if the device I chose for this question is 100% accurate to my computer, considering I couldn't find an option with any Computer ID similar to the one on my computer however what I chose looks and sounds the most accurate to Mine I'm having issues with now only it's like a Royal Purple color. If someone could please help I'd be greatly appreciated.

hello @laney

being that your laptop shows signs of life ( keyboard and such light up), i would say there is not a major power issue going on. I feel that the ordeal with google crashing and what not are coincidental and non causal of it not powering up now. Being that there is no charge indicator lighting up now once you plug in you ac adapter is a clue that perhaps you have a frozen bios. Of course, without voltage readings and such, this is purely bedside manner and may not be 100 percent accurate. Am i correct that you said you just bought this a few months ago? if so, you are covered by the manufacturer for 1 year. also, you may be able to get the stores technician to do this for you and i encourage you to do these first! however, i believe that if you are to remove your battery, take the back cover off, remove the cmos battery and the short the terminals the battery were placed in, this may solve the boot issue/ no charging light issue.

if you are uncomfortable working with live voltage, dont. you do so at your own risk.
