Strange colours all over board

A customer of mine left this iPhone 8 with me. It is boot looping. I have inspected the motherboard, and it has strange colours all over the board (looks just like a petrol spill). I cannot see any signs of damage, or any signs it has got wet. I am not concerned about the boot loop. I am just wondering if anyone has seen this before and know what causes it? I have seen it once before on a dead iPhone 7 that had a PMIC fault. Thanks

I’ve seen some boards like this before, although not as colourful as yours! I was never able to figure it out either (no signs of liquid damage etc.) but my suspicion is that this is cleaning fluid residue that wasn’t completely washed off prior to the phone’s final assembly. This could be more prevalent on "true” Apple-refurbished boards versus some of the cheapo looking refurbishes.
