Replaced battery, but now I have a black screen with 4 white lines do

I have a 6 Plus 128 gig iPhone and I just replacing the battery and use the guide here. No problems got apart and battery out was so happy. Put new battery in. Booted the phone and now I have a black screen with 4 white lines running down the middle of the screen. Tried several time reset the cables mainly the display data cable. I even did what it said to do and power cycle your phone. Still black screen with white lines. Can some tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it? Please.

Thank you

This would be definitely a connection problem. Mostly caused by the touch connector I would recommend checking the touch connector from the screen it only takes a couple of failed attempts at connecting it to cause damage.

The touch connector is long on a 6 plus and it must be seated properly. Check under a magnifying glass to make sure.

It is not that difficult to replace your screen. Just follow the guides.

Chris,

Thank you. I have already check the cable connectors under a magnifying glass. Question. The other 3 cables, when I connect connectors the make a click noise like it is seated. But when I connect the touch connector there is no click noise. So you cannot be sure that it really is connected. So should the touch connector make that noise? I did notice that the touch connector is different the the other 3 connectors. It that how it is suppose to be?

Here's one. When I hooked up the lighting cable to charge. The colors went from black and white to color. And when I took my finger to swipe across the screen I notice some movement in the images on the screen. But the images where still blurred lines. So it made me thing the touch connector was connected. But what your saying confusing me. I thought I mention this.

I think the next step would be to replace the screen. They are not that expensive. The connectors don’t necessarily have to click but the more times you attempt to connect the touch connector the more chance it becomes bent and damaged I know this from experience when the 6 plus first came out.

Another problem that plagues the 6 plus is touch disease but that usually produces grey bars on the screen and no touch. If it does have touch disease you will need to get it repaired by a professional as it will require microsoldering.

@imicrosoldering How hard is it to remove and remount the Home Button and front facing camera?

From my experience it would be time for a new screen as it may have been damaged in the process of removal. Is the screen retaining touch functionality?

Thank you guys. I needed a phone so I end up buying the iPhone XR 128gb. I like it but like the 11 Pro Max better. Someday. Back to the iPhone 6 Plus. I bought a screen from ebay. The first one came with the cables in the wrong order. Got a second one and it was fine. I got my phone back together and working. Thank you again guys. But I did not try to take my home button out of the old screen I just have a home button. But every time I boot the phone I get a message that says Touch ID. Unable to activate. Touch ID on this iPhone. Is there a way to disable that so every time I boot the phone it doesn't show up?

Again thank you
