I have water leaking from the thermostat housing

I recently replaced the water pump, radiator, and the thermostat and housing now I can not get the thermostat housing to stop leaking. Just filling the car with water it pours out as fast as I pour it into the radiator, was not leaking before and I ha e tried 2 housing along with 2 gaskets………help

Hi,

Don’t know the answer but here’s an image of the thermostat removal and replacement procedure from the 2004-2005 Nissan Altima factory service repair manual (scroll down to Engine Cooling System) which may be of some help.

You mentioned gaskets but are the o-rings there and OK as well? Just a thought.

could be seals or maybe the thermostat is faulty, when and where is it leaking? is it leaking out the housing or where the housing attaches to pipes? is it leaking all the time, with the engine off and cold is it still leaking?
