Why won't it turn on or even show that its charging

Have you tried a different compatible charger and see if that works?

Have you tried connecting the tablet via a USB cable to a working computer’s USB port to see if it starts to charge?

If you don’t have a computer then a standard mobile phone charger which has a micro USB cable connector can be used. It may take a bit longer to fully charge as a phone charger’s current output may be less than a computer’s USB current supply of 500mA. The output should be printed on the phone charger.

If the tablet starts to charge using one of the suggestions above let it fully charge before attempting to turn it on.

If it doesn’t start to charge be patient and leave the charger connected for at least 1-2 hours. Sometimes if the battery is totally flat it takes time to “kick start” it back into action again. If it does start to charge then again be patient and let it fully charge before using it.
