Replaced battery, it won’t turn on unless I have charger connected

It is showing “replace now” and will not charge after installing new battery. Only way for me to use computer is with charger. I have tried resetting everything. Do not know what else to do.

Also who's battery did you use?

When you replaced the battery, you may have not connected the connector properly. Try reseating it. If that does not work, then you may either have damaged the connector on the board or you have a defective battery. Check the board. If there is damage, then microsoldering is required. Finally, try another battery. This may resolve the issue.
