PS Vita 1000 - Cable charging the console, but not transferring data!

Hi!


I have this problem where i ps vita data/charging cable was damaged but i continued using it. One day it Short-circuited and now i cant transfer file from my PC to Vita or vice versa. i can only charge it! Charging works fine.


Its not the cable, i tried other working cables, its the vita it self.


How can i fix it?

Hi @sonicboi ,

You can check the pins in the port with a multimeter for continuity. Maybe the data lines got damaged.

Other way is to hack your console and use VitaShell which is a file manager that allows you to transfer data via FTP protocol. But this is rather a workaround than a fix.

I hacked my Vita and use WiFi, that's why i want to fix USB data because its broken and WiFi is not so fast and convenient.

I was hoping for some help on actual fixing, schematics of VITA, what to do, where to touch and where not to touch etc.

Bro... Did you manage to fix it? Have you try to see the pins at the charging port? Any burnt pin?
