has red light turns off when I press power then comes back on

My rca 42 in has red light turns off when I press power then comes back on but will eventually turn on and work after I try 100 times and seems to work fine for a while if I try after it's been on for a while...? Any ideas?

@jjerk2200 what exact model is your TV? Sound like an IC or caps issue on the power board.
