What is this small golden connector, and why won’t it go back in?

Just underneath the battery connector, what is the golden connector, with a black pad on top, that just won’t go back in, circular in shape. No matter how hard I press it won’t go back in. What is it for, and could it be related to my phone not charging?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Do you have an image of the golden connector?

If it’s the one I’m thinking about then yes it is related to the iPhone not charging as it is part of the charging port. If it is by itself just hanging loose or completely broken off of the charging port then it will need to be replaced.

I think you might be talking about the antenna leads. Is it connected to a long, thin wire?

Yeah, I don’t know why, I put it it over the connector, screwed down the metal plate and everything seems to work fine

If you try to force the connector on you could have inadvertently damaged the socket on the main board by bending it out of shape, in which case you will struggle to get the connector to locate.
